Trevor’s Bio
Trevor Harnett has always been an entrepreneur at heart. While earning his degree in Agricultural Economics at The Ohio State University, he ran and sold a landscape design and maintenance business. He went on to trade equity index futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, developing a keen understanding of risk management and market dynamics. That blend of real‑world hustle and market insight led him to found MarketDelta in 2003, a Chicago‑based SaaS market analytics company best known for pioneering the Footprint® chart and later the cloud‑based MarketDelta trading platform. Over 15 years as CEO he oversaw product design, sales & marketing, proving that technology could make professional‑grade trading tools accessible to more than just the “guys on the trading floor. During this time he completed an M.S. in Financial Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology.
After MarketDelta, Trevor returned to the family investment office, Harnett Investment Company, where he managed multi‑asset portfolios across public equities, fixed income, real estate, private debt and private equity. While doing this he earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation via a Chicago Booth executive program. Today, as the Founder and Managing Partner of Methodica Capital, Trevor has launched an independent sponsor platform focused on acquiring and scaling lower‑middle‑market B2B and industrial service companies with $2–$10 million in EBITDA. Methodica’s capital base is anchored by the Harnett family office, reflecting the confidence of those who know him best. A husband, father of four, four‑time Ironman triathlete and avid reader, Trevor brings a long‑term, values‑driven approach to every partnership he enters—and he’s passionate about helping other owners preserve what they’ve built while unlocking their businesses’ next chapters.
